Hello From Japan

First time hello to everyone on the forum. I'm Kato, and I live/hunt pigs about 100km southeast of Tokyo. My mom's Japanese, and my dad's Australian.

I run native hunting dogs, a Kai and 2 Kishu at the moment, and most of my friends run Japanese breed mixes. The seriously mountainous terrain over here seems to suit agile medium sized hunting dogs best, and with the thick underbrush a dog with a decent coat helps.

Interesting to see the dogs you all run down there, and the different styles of hunting for different terrain. We only have 3 months out of the year to hunt over here, and I'm down to the last week of it. Pulled in a nice 100kg female Saturday, and hopefully will find some more bacon this weekend.

welcome mate i would love to see a picture of you dogs are they luggers or do you shoot them after the dogs find them ? cheers adrian
