Don
Well, I finally got around to the intro. Been looking over a lot of the older posts and looks to be a great sight. I am into the dales and breeding for performance. My web is http://www.huntingairedales.com A private site with lots of pictures is (Password is "hunter") http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v401/hicntry/ Love some of the crosses you guys are doing like the bull/arabs. Great looking dogs. Really like the dogs(deernbull I think) with the bull terrier crossed in...good looking dogs. Like lots of folks, started off with the bone hard fighters and after paying through the nose and watching my favorite stock get tore up, well, one just has to develope a real appreciation for the smart bay dogs that can keep a hog standing in one place. I normally just hunt two good dogs at a time and seldom get a dog hurt or have to chase them. Every time I threw a handfull of dogs at a hog, it was a major fight, dogs were hurt, and I had to chase the suckers half way across the county once they broke the 250lb to 350 lb marks. They just drag the dogs along, fighting all the way. Since I went to two dogs, haven't had a problem and have taken some big hogs. A dog gets in front and the other in the back and they can keep a hog turning like a propeller....but the dogs only get hurt if they are stupid or slow. Anyway, it is a great sight guys...and gals of course...OH...Merry Christmas!!! Quote Link to comment
