Gday everyone,

Im a keen bow hunter who has decided to take on a new hunting companion. Iv been searching the net high and low for a suitable pup to bring into my family and to come hunting with me in the future.

I plan to use Paul Michael's blueprint on training an indicating dog to train the pup. I have recently moved and the type of country I will now hunt has changed from hills and mountain gullies surrounded with cattle country and sugar cane  to savannah flats and creeks, flood plains.. Maybe don't need the pup as much as i did in the heavy country now but a new companion/family pet would still be welcome.

I swapped the pigdogs for the bow several years ago and now the only time I have to run is when a pig pins me and i need to move out of the way lol.. 

So I decided to join this group to see what other people are up to and maybe find a pup along the way.

Im chasing a pup along the  German Shorthaired Pointer or Visla  lines.

Any suggestions on suitable dog breeds pure or crosses welcome
