hey diggers just new to this forum what a wicked place it is too, from vic do a fair bit of rabbiting and spotlighting. ive never had a hunting dog before but my old man has 2500 acres near roma so im looking for a all rounder dog for hunting rabbits hares foxes in geelong and pigs goats ect in roma any ideas i thought staghound, whippet, pharoah hound, not sure though what yas reckon?

Welcome mate, go with the Whips probably as a cross though for an all rounder Whip/Stag would do fine.

get a stag mate better on the pigs then a whippy cross and pharos wont kill, and i wouldnt dog goats abit to much like sheep for my liking go to the sighthound section and ask there

Thanks for the info peoples im thinking a short haired stag (kangaroo dog) will be the way to go. I will post in the sighthound section and see what they think. Thanks again!
