I agree with Neilie, All depends on the dog characteristics and first pig it sees. I've seen young pup taken out bout 6-7months and first pig was good boar and it got bit to close, it did not wanna look at another pig for ages. Other pups jump on straight up and never look back.

Hi fellow Hunters, I'm quite a old hand at hunting at a young age, I based in Mareeba FNQ and mostly hunt sugar cane country, occasionally going bush, giving the dogs a treat. Would have to say i'm bit more of a pig chaser than pig catcher and looking foward to sharing some tales. Mat
