  9. its fun getting your ambitions mixed with your abilities.... but not very wise

  10. G day mate, I'd have to say i reckon neds hit the nail on the head there mate...... no need to start pumping out the pups just yet. I've thought for some time of breeding from my dogs but to me it just seems easier to get a pup here and there off a breeder i trust to keep my pack running. To many dogs means that none of your dogs will get the attention and training they need to reach there true potential. And if ya that keen then a move to an area with more pigs is def gonna be on the cards! good luck with it all though mate, cheers.........mick
  11. g day mate, i know how it is, work sure can get in the way of a mans hunting.......... best leave the shooting sticks at home and get that dog working. cheers, mick
  12. G day mate, i hunt with dane mastiffs and i agree with the boys on this one. I generally start taking them nout in the crate around 3, or 4 months old. when they start having a whine when the other dogs are doing the buisness i;ll let em off. My only advice is dont let them off around bigger tuskier pigs untill they start showing a little promise and confidence, you'll only end up dinging their egos and slowing there progression...... good luck with it mate
  13. G day mate, Nth qld huh, lucky bugger.......... i'm down on the northern nsw/qld border on a 60 ooo acre property in mungindi so i can't feel that hard done by. just wish those prancers in the sky blue jumpers could win a game of footy........ bit of a joke. Welcome to the site and happy hoggin mate
  14. G'day Ricko, Na mate,I've never been a plumber, actually a diesel fitter by trade, out of curiosity why did you ask?
  15. Hi guys, My name is mick and thought i'd join this site to see what gos on here and if i can glean any useful knowledge that may have slipped past me over the years. I live in Moree nsw and have the good fortune of working and living on a sixty thousand acre property between mungindi and collerenibri which has a number of watercourses running through it so i get to hunt fairly regularly.......... as often as i can! I have been hunting with dogs for about five years and have been fortunate enough to meet a breeder from uralla who has supplied me with his line of dane x mastiff dog...... i can't speak highly enough of this line of dog and i know he's regularly got pups if you guys are ever looking. Just looking To see what goes on on here and maybe gain some more knowledge on dog training techniques and the like. cheers all
