my best dog is 3/4 black mouth cur,catahoula and a little bit of pit. All of my other dogs are black mouth curs.I usually run two finished find dogs on the ground that hunt short to med. range ,but will go far if on a hot track. I also will run one young dog with them to tag along and hopefully learn a thing or two. My dogs are not very gritty and usually will only catch when the catchdogs show-up. I use two catchdogs, one for each ear...lol
