Why would i give you any country to hunt?
Still have plenty of mates down there and look after them.
So your not poaching byfield then?? As that what the first post says.. then you just admitted it was you??
Do you go on the japs /resorts place as well?
-
Poaching at either place.
Stanage Bay Rd would be baiting this time of year - 1/2 the road does it. On the other side you have the army country. They do live fire there so who knows whats laying about.
I wouldnt be suggesting running the roads up there - you might come back to find your vehicle has miraculously got 4 flat tyres or there is a cup of sugar in your fuel tank - worse still if your caught on one of the places along there you may have some shots fired at you.
Good luck with your search.

It is probably time for another clean out - May do it so every member that has not posted 5 times at least gets deleted..

Hi Andrew
I met you at Glen & Camilla's one day.
I have a dog out of your old dog deejay.. out of their best bitch (my opinion) Shiloh..

G'day hunters, I live in central Qld been hunting for 25 odd years. I have been living in Tas for 2 yrs and just moved back. No wild pigs in Tas so gave away my last dogs before I went. I have hunted pigs in lantana, rubbervine, mountains, mangroves and just about anywhere they live with most breeds of dogs represented in some percentage. I'm not usually into forums, however after looking at other hunting sites what concerns me is the number of photos of dogs hanging on pigs or busted up, for years myself and a few mates have been concerned that this is bad publicity is only giving ammo to the animal rights groups to build a case against dog hunting pigs. My dogs have always been treated like athletes and no expence spared to maintain them, to watch hunting dogs do what comes naturally and see the excitement in the dogs is brilliant.
Cheers
John Mc
Ps I'm not computer literate so if this turns out backwards, uploaded twice or in Zulu. Help
Welcome John - What you have written is the image this site is trying to portray. The general public will not see lugging pictures or any other sensitive material. We cop lots of shit from over moderating, but we only do it for the future of our sport. Soooo hard to get through to some thick heads though..
Good to see another like minded hunter on board..
Cheers

Ozziedoggers conducted a tracker review - we only tested some of the units out there.
At that time there were no GPS systems either. So they could be something you can look at as well.
Ohh and Welcome to the site.

Hi Jeff - welcome to the forum mate..
Have a look in the Doggers Suppliers forum - you can post any of your gear for sale in there. (just a heads up)
It could also be a good area for some questions and answers..
Cheers

Send a pm to staghound mate - he is now in charge of the stickers..

Good luck with that mate..
Your best bet is to go to Australian Hunting Net and check out there AHNI club - if you are a member than im pretty sure its enough reason to own a rifle.
Dont quote me, but it would certainly be worth checking out.
-
Great stuff - wish you all the best!!

Thats just not how its done, if the dog is that much of a loose cannon then i would suggest not using him as a pigdog.
An excited dog that you may not have control of is just another nail in the coffin for the image of pighunting.
Try and go with some responsible / experienced hunters to learn the ropes the right way.
Sorry to be so blunt, but we are under enormous pressure from animal liberators about what we do, so we have to look after the future of pigdogs.. Hence why this forum is so heavily moderated..

Welcome to the site.
Just a bit of clarification for you ( may just be the way you have typed it ) the dog does not kill the pig at all - it merely holds the pig firmly by the ears until we dispatch the pig.
-
Welcome mate - keep an eye out in the classifieds on some dogs / pups.. Good luck in finding new properties as well.. Pretty sure there is a few members down that neck of the woods so hopefully some of them can help you out..
Cheers

Welcome champ..
as you are a hound hunter - im not sure if the garmin will have the range that you will need.. look into it carefully.. 1 or 3km might not be enough..
you are probably also aware that the Aspro is illegal to use in Australia.. that is not stopping a lot of guys though. i hope they dont get prosecuted for their sake.. i guess it is a buyer beware scenario.. best of luck with your purchase anyway..
-
welcome big rocks..
might even venture out for a run this arvo? you keen?
