  1. G'day ant, Welcome to the site. Cheers.
  2. Definitely. Part of it is the relationship and pride in the dog for its guts and the other part is the feeling of putting your hands on a spinning, fighting, dangerous boar. Cheers.

  11. The power at which they transmit is the problem. Too much power to fit within authorised limits. Do a search on the forum, been heaps on it before. Cheers.
  12. G'day Mike, Welcome to the site. Plenty on sighthounds on here. Cheers.
  13. I used a mix of Titley and Wildlife Materials gear and it would reach out a couple of K's but the Garmins are my choice now because of the maps and detail you get on what the dog is and exactly where it is. If they drop out I just get to where the last signal was and they pop in again either on the way there or when I get there. Have had them reach to 1.5kms. I'm trying those longer range aerials from NZ now but have not done enough with them to make a useful comment so far. Cheers.
  14. G'day Luca, Welcome to the site... Cheers.

  16. G'day mate, That's it then, get ready to pour thousands of dollars into the pigs. It happens to all of us... Welcome to the site. Cheers.

  19. G'day Steve, Welcome to the site. Get involved and people will get an idea who and what you are. That's the best way to get an invite out for a hunt. Cheers.

  22. Welcome to the site mate. It's the dogs that make it for me as well. Cheers.
  23. G'day mate, All good advice so far. Mine is to get out and get a few pigs first before you settle on dogs. A lot of eager but unused pigdogs in the yard can be a pain in the neck. Take your time and find out a bit more about access to land and what other hunters are using and you'll be right. Keep us informed on your movements and someone on here will be probably be able to take you for a run. Cheers.
  24. G'day Moz, Welcome to the site. Try putting something in the classified section, might help... Good luck finding your finder. Cheers.
