Amarok
Hi everyone! My name's Kathy. I'm from Canada. I'm new to the site and to hunting in general. My family owned two black-and-tan coonhound/Irish wolfhound cross dogs in the past and they are what got me started in hunting dogs. I'm hoping to get some staghounds in the future. Hope to learn lots, and happy hunting everyone! Kathy Quote Link to comment
Amarok
Just on a side note: I believe the word "amarok" means "wolf" in the Inuit language. I was wondering what predators live in Australia, and do you hunt any of them? Kathy Quote Link to comment

Amarok
Here in Ontario, I know of one hunting reserve for wild boar but none actually running wild. There are some in Alberta though. The hunters I know in my area hunt deer and raccoons with their dogs; I believe you can also hunt bear, moose, and rabbits with dogs although I don't personally know anyone who does.
