    Name is John Porter, and I live in the mountains of North Carolina, USA. Been only hog dogging for 8 years here. Just started raising my own hog dogs and have a litter of 1/2 German Wire Hair Pointer and 1/2 Redbone pups on the ground now. I also run blue tick hounds on hogs here in the mountains.

    Very nice site you all got here and hope to visit often.

    As already said throw up some pics of you dogs mate! I'm hoping for a holiday In the US and plan on trying to meet up with a few people to see how you lot do it.

    Seen young dogs say just got there adult teeth that are swinging like crazy get stress marks in there K9's even snap them off. Still soft when young. I believe diet is a big thing to they need calcium for strong bones and teeth. I feed chicken frams etc for calcium and even use a supplement on my dogs.

    Seen bitchs who have had litter after litter have shocking teeth. I'm assuming that there is a calcium defishentsy from feeding all the dogs.

    So yeah I guess you will always get the odd tooth break off. I've had a good run with my younger bitch but she was started older then my older bitch and she has one very ordinary k9 and others with stress marks in them but she was started way younger.

    Good diet is a sure thing to help.

    Thanks & yeh he was a prick, refused to pay too....don't really have blocks to hunt anymore, hubby works in WA so not home much at the moment. I had my 1st litter on 10th July, they are gorgeous pups, have 2 males left due to preorder default.....not the colour they wanted....I am hoping that we can go out with our mates when he is home for more time off.

    Hi all, used to follow my hubby around pigging, with 2 babies in the car with me. Unfortunately after we lost our male bandog a couple of years ago & a mate stealing our ute while we were away & writing it off, we do not go anymore..... I miss it.....so I have instead purchased another bandog bitch & breed her with my old males brother who is a now retired pigging dog. I love reading pigging stories....brings back the memories.

    Some mate stealing your ute! What a prick! So have you had the pups yet? I see you are in emerald you still got blocks to hunt? Bloody tuff getting places I tried for sometime when I lived in blackwater. Wish you the best getting back into it! Plenty of people on here to help out anyway.

    hey i live on a station and need to get a dog quick because im goin mad watchin pigs all day and not bein able to do anything about it i like my wolfhound x or stags i guess had a wolfy x red bull and he was the best dog ive ever seen trying to get somthing like him ill drive just about where ever if its worth it and even pay

    Hey mate and welcome! I'm kinda in the same boat as you. Been bowhunting since I was a kid but have taken a liking to dogging. I still bowhunt as much as I can but. I have a block up the cape to hunt but only aloud to bowhunt no dogs. But keen as to go check this new block out!

    The hard part is getting someone to help you out with letting you run your dogs with theres. I to have a young bull arab pup and also a gsp. If your ever up maryborough way send me a pm always good to catch up with fellow bowhunters and have a yarn over a few beers.

    Hey guys, My names chris and ive just started to get into pig hunting, with my brother and mates. i have a bull mastiff cross great dane who has really started coming into form, just needs a bit of fitness, but now its coming to winter he should be fine. just wanted to say gday and introduce myself and hopefully chat with some of yas later. cheers
