  1. Mate Pig Catchin is worse then getting hooked on drugs it gives you a bigger rush and cost you ship loads of time and money, make sure you really want to get into it properly before breeding pups because once hooked no meetings to help you give it up,trust me IM HOOKED ON CATCHIN THE BUGGERS good luck

hahah trust me mate im as keen as a bean!! im hooked already, im even moving out there once ive finished my apprenticeship!

    cheers bud!!

  2. G day mate,

I'd have to say i reckon neds hit the nail on the head there mate...... no need to start pumping out the pups just yet. I've thought for some time of breeding from my dogs but to me it just seems easier to get a pup here and there off a breeder i trust to keep my pack running. To many dogs means that none of your dogs will get the attention and training they need to reach there true potential. And if ya that keen then a move to an area with more pigs is def gonna be on the cards!

good luck with it all though mate,

    cheers.........mick

    Cheers Mick!

I will be doin just tht, tht is for sure!!

cant wait to get off the coast and head out west a bit!! it just cant come quick enough!

    thanks for all your inputs,

    :peace:

  3. Thanks heaps for your comments!

I'll take in as much as i can from u fella's.

As to the pups, wasnt considering breeding heaps or anything, just to put some ideas into my head.

I am planning once i hav finished my apprenticeship, to move out to carinda and live the life out there for a while, as i seem to find im out there more than at home!

i wouldnt be moving out there for another 2 years so until then, thered be no more pups for me anyways.

At this stage i am just soo eager and excited to watch my 2 dogs i have now to progress and become not only good pig dogs, but family dogs aswell!

    Really appreciate your input!

Also, i have just purchased a toms tarps breast plate for my older dog, what do you think of them?

    cheers :mistick_beer:

  4. G'day all!!

My names Josh, and live on the Central Coast of NSW.

For the past 10months i have started to get into piggin with dogs with a mate that lives out at Carinda, North West, NSW, and loving it!!!

Since then i have got myself a few dogs, one of which was bred by my mate, and am loving watching them mature!

I hav a 12month old, Bullmastiff x boxer, which only been out there in the past 2 months, and was glad to see him finally workin and luggin on pigs hard 2 weekends ago wen i went out there.

My other dog, of 5months old, which was bred by my mate is a bullmastiff/dane(father)xbullarab/bullterrier(mother)bitch, she is not yet on pigs but showing lots of interest and startin to get very confident around them, (a bit lik her brother which is already luggin big boars at 5 months old)!!

I have a pure bred bullterrier (dog) at home, which ive already lined up with a stag hound bitch out west! (cant wait to see results)!!

Anyways, seemed to ramble on a bit, but thought id introduce myself properly!

Can ppl please send me some ideas of good bloodlines to breed as i am keen to bred a few more dogs =]

    Cheers
