Mildura Deerhounds

Family has had and hunted deerhounds for many years. I currently have a line of Deerhound from Deborah Gutheries Clachtoll kennels. My Great Uncle knew and worked with Doc Thompson and so has a very old line of deerhound (St Ronans kennels). Dr Donald Thompson helped bring back the breed of pure deerhound in Australia after it nearly died out after World War 1.  Personally I primarily use my deerhounds for stubble pigs as we also use Old Qld/Anderson and Warrego Bull Arabs, and I don't want them chasing other animals. However my Uncle still uses his for roos and foxes. I'm looking to keep the working line of deerhound going as well keeping good 'show' quality dogs, and looking to meet people of a similar interest
