RosieDog
Hi, new to this site and hunting. I don’t actually hunt (apart from a few foxes with my grandad many years ago). I actually have a rescue dog from Dubbo who is American Bulldog x cattle dog (and a maybe a small amount of other breeds)... We are pretty sure she was bred for pig hunting. She has a high prey drive (though thankfully is great to train) and would like to be able to direct her safely so here to find out about training resources etc and to see what we can be involved in within Victoria. So really a total newbie to all of this! Quote Link to comment
stevo
Welcome to the site dog definitely has the breeding to easily do the job but the breed in the dog points in the direction of a lugging breed and unfortunately lugging dogs not allowed on pigs in Victoria Bailing dogs only in Victoria Quote Link to comment
ThorneSwine
Actually technically only dogs used to point or locate pigs that have been shot can be used on pigs in victoria. Quote Link to comment
