JDD
Hello to all members Well just signed up, Ive been hunting for a few years now as a sort of side hobbie to 4WDriving, most of my hunting has been on foot with my Rifle. But these days I have my own house and yard and Im looking to get a Dog to help my odds of getting some more pigs, and well loof after the house whilst Im out. I thought Ill be able to pick up some tips from here and hopefully make a decision on what sort of Dog Ill go for soon. So far I like the idea of the Cross bread Great Dane's and mastif's...... JDD
I just signed up to i dont know how to post my own msg yet can you tell me how i would go a pitbull for a good guard dog i got a harlequin dane X mastiff and there pretty dopey my pitbull is way smarter and better guard dog iwould check out nextdaypets.com or pet classifieds.us Did you work out how to post...? Im sure its up in the corner of each forum thread to creat own thread...? Any pictures of your Harlequin Dane X Mastiffs...? Whats the go with the Harlequin name in the Danes.....? Thanks for the welcomes everyone, so a little more information. I live up in the N.T Darwin to be more exact. I have been out pig hunting with friends Dogs before and its well good exercise the first time out the the dogs jumped a small creek bed and continued running along, whilst a mate and I were passing the Shotgun a cross the creek (safety first) my mate spots a pig sitting under a tree in plain site mean while 5 dogs have just run past it.... Great... Had to call them all back to once the pig got up they were on though which leads me to believe most of them were out looking for pigs like we were not siffing them out or picking up the scent....? So Id like to have a dog that has a little smart, can you be a succesful pig hunter with just one Pig dog...? I mean Im not to bad at picking up trails and fresh tracks myself ? Welcome! Love your choice of dog!!!!!! thankyou, any more advice to offer... Quote Link to comment
