  1. From the Snowies Hamo. I'm up in NT/WA border at the moment on our trip of a lifetime but I'm missing the mountains a bit lately. Too hot up here for me and the crocs got me bluffed for sure
  2. I don't know how you do it. I keep wanting to jump in the river for a swim but the crocs smell tourists out real quick. Went fishing on the river here at Timber Ck and there was a 3.5m croc just sitting in the water when we walked down to the rocks - no swim here
  3. Struggling a bit actually. We missed the cold cause we left in April but the cold blood in me has been melting in the NT heat. QLD was no worries pretty nice actually but the NT has cooked me good and proper.
  4. Sounds like a nice style. Only thing to think about is that bloodhounds have a tendency to find a long way from where they leave you. I wouldn't want a long range finding dog to be a hard lugger. More chance of them being beaten up/over heating while your running the long distances to get there. My preference has always been that the long range finders bark till they get help and that way if it is too far you can keep your luggers on a rope till you get closer.
  5. New member from southern nsw. Been hunting with dogs nearly twenty years now. Long enough to have started my kids with the action. Hunt four dogs, love the cold (but in the NT right now) and use bull arab cross coonhounds. Cheers
