  1. Bailers are shit, get some of those pig catching monkeys that were on YouTube if you can't hunt with luggers.
  2. Maybe if you didn't limit yourself to 24 inches and cheap to feed you might have more luck. A big stag with a bit of wolfhound in its makeup should be able to do everything there except the beer, I am not sure on that.
  3. I'd give hunting a miss at the Moment and continue to focus on developing as a dog handler with your dog. Once you have finished basic training such as stock proofing, socialisation, obedience etc, then you will need to access the correct protective gear for your dog. Chestplate, trackers. You also need to have the understanding that every time you take this dog on a hunt, it may die or sustain an injury that could be permanent or cost you thousands of dollars to repair. Working with your dog as a hunting team is very rewarding, however if you are not well prepared, it can be a disaster. Good luck.
  4. mate of mine built a flat platform that was level with the top of the well body and used underneath for storage and sat his cage straight up on top of the platform.
  5. Welcome oldcowboy, how is the hunting in Ayr at the moment?
  6. I can't believe that you missed the carry on that went on from the last time that you started this topic.
  7. can't wait to find out more about this hawaiian hunting.
  8. Hi guys, I threw an introduction in another topic area, but I see that everyone else is writing in here. I am living up on the cape and get out for a hunt quite regularly. I only have one hunting dog at the moment and she is a catahoula pointer x. She is about a year and a half old and is starting to pick up the game. No world beater but will catch most of the hogs that cross my path. Thanks for the opportunity to join the site
  9. G'day Folks, just joined the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I live up in the cape and hunt regularly, so I thought I would join up and have a look. Cheers
