  1. Yeah mate wont get a lot of choice at that price, will be looking at either an old 2wd farm bike 250/300cc or a Chinese one. Id want to put another grand in, most decent used quads are starting $3500/4000, well that's what ive noticed.
  2. Im from NSW and had to live in Sth Vic for this year, and if I had to live here any longer I would have changed to fox dogs- and that's even after ive got the pigging bug, the gear and the dogs. I couldn't imagine starting off down here- Would just be a lot harder thats all.
  3. Maybe its just the admin mods that can do it, im pretty sure the general users cant do it- Been asked a few times in forum help.
  4. Yeah this is hunting site but if you'd notice we also talk about fishing, 4wding, farming and cooking (not to mention alot of other crap.) So welcome to the site Darryl, Hope you enjoy it. As long as blokes look after the dogs health and wellbeing, and their actions have no negative impact on the dog or others i have no problem with people on this site who dont hunt. Then maybe more people will understand we are not a bunch of cruel inbred rednecks.
  5. Mate your in a good place to get up in those hills around the snowys, get your R-license sorted and get into the bush, your dogs will sharpen up quick smart in there. Just gotta do the miles to get onto the pigs in there, plenty of stock around young find a mate with property when their in the yards take your dog in on a leash or muzzle him up and walk him through em. Mate how old are ya? If all else fails plenty of foxs around.
  6. Haha yeah nothing like chasing a pig with the dogs, I did a bit of work wrangling/guiding in the Yukon a couple of years ago for an outfitting mob had a great time. You've got some big/dangerous animals over there, i never realised how much money their was in paying hunters, the money these blokes spent to shoot a moose or bear was unbelievable. I heard of hunters using hounds to hunt coyotes i thought that was pretty cool. Anyway mate hope you enjoy the site.
  7. G'day welcome to the site mate.
  8. G'day, Nicknames Bambi, from Gundagai (NSW) area, been chasing pigs for bit under a year, got a kelpie and Greyhound/bullterrier, both young and just starting, work awesome together and a few seasoned hunters have been impressed with them so im stoked. I dont reckon there is any other feeling like when you hear your dogs hit up a boar, nothing else gets me so excited and so shit scarred at the same time (i'm itching for a biggun but just hope the dogs can handle it.) Anyway just an intro. Thanks
